How to Fish Advanced Mod Menu: Setup & Risks
Review Advanced Mod Menu features, choose its BepInEx or MelonLoader build, understand save and multiplayer risks, and remove it safely.
Reported
Advanced Mod Menu is a broad cheat and utility package with BepInEx and MelonLoader downloads. The author lists controls for money, teleporting, fishing, weapons, movement, skins, and other game systems. Use it only on a disposable solo save: several functions can bypass progression, change the economy, or alter journal and achievement state.

Loader builds and current patch status
| Item | Current information |
|---|---|
| Listed version | 1 |
| Last listing update | August 29, 2026 |
| Loader options | Separate BepInEx and MelonLoader builds |
| MelonLoader version in instructions | 0.7.3 |
| Menu key in MelonLoader instructions | Backspace |
| Current Patch 1.0.11 status | Not explicitly confirmed on the listing |
Update notes on the listing say BepInEx support was added later. Choose one distribution and follow only that distribution’s instructions. Do not install both loader builds or merge their folders.
What the menu can change
The listing describes god mode, keep-inventory behavior, fishing assists, weapon options, money controls, teleporting, movement, casino-related controls, and other shortcuts. These are not cosmetic-only changes. They can remove the normal conditions behind quests, rewards, purchases, or combat.
Use a new save created specifically for testing. A money or unlock command may write permanent state before you close the menu. Disabling the DLL later does not necessarily reverse a currency value, unlocked journal entry, spawned item, or achievement already saved by the game.
Choose one loader build
For the MelonLoader version, the author’s instructions name MelonLoader 0.7.3, place HowToFishModMenu.dll in the game’s Mods folder, and use Backspace to open the menu. The listing also provides a BepInEx version; follow its own archive and current Files-tab notes instead of applying the MelonLoader folder to it.
Safe test order:
- Run the clean game and create a disposable save.
- Back up any main save outside the game directory.
- Download only one loader variant.
- Install the exact loader version documented for that file.
- Add the menu file to the folder named by its instructions.
- Open the disposable save and test one reversible option.
- Restart, disable that option, and inspect money, inventory, quests, and journal state.
Keep it out of public lobbies
The author calls the menu client-side, but that does not make every action appropriate for multiplayer. Teleporting, item changes, combat assists, or economy edits can affect the host session or other players’ experience. Do not use it in a public lobby or with players who have not agreed to a modded test.
If you test co-op at all, use a private lobby and a copied save after confirming the menu works alone. Reproduce any join or synchronization problem without the menu before troubleshooting Steam or networking.
Remove it cleanly
Turn off active menu options, exit normally, and copy the test save. Remove the menu DLL from its loader folder. Do not delete the whole Mods or BepInEx directory if other packages rely on it. Start the game with the same loader but no menu, then test a completely clean launch.
If a progression value remains changed, uninstalling the file has worked but the saved change has not been reversed. Restore the pre-test backup rather than issuing more commands in an attempt to recreate the former state.
Before downloading, compare the version, requirements, scan result, and recent bug reports on the original Nexus page. The file stays with its author; the precautions here explain why a broad menu belongs on a disposable solo save rather than a shared or public session.
