How to Find Leeches in How to Fish

Leeches are tiny ground pickups on the second island, not fish you catch from the water. Walk the grass edges, paths, and ground near the forest quest giver until you have three, then trade them for Leech Bait. ^[01]

Find and use them

Move slowly and watch for the interaction prompt; the dark model is easy to lose in vegetation. Sweep the island perimeter, then the paths and the area around the quest giver. Return all three together, equip the special bait, and cast from the shore to call the Giant Piranha. ^[01]

Killing the boss is not the final step. Recover its distinctive Skeleton and return that item to the quest giver. If the objective remains open, check whether you picked up ordinary meat instead. ^[01]

Quick fixes

• Nothing appears in the water: stop fishing and search the land.
• The quest giver refuses the turn-in: confirm the counter is complete and you are speaking to the forest quest giver.
• The boss does not spawn: make sure Leech Bait is selected, not a normal bait.
