How to Fish Endangered Creature: Tourist Quest

In How to Fish, “endangered creature,” “endangered fish,” and Endangered Species all refer to the Tourist's Island 3 task. Accept the task, catch regular Desert creatures with the Standard Lure, and inspect each catch until its information panel explicitly says Endangered Species. What counts as an endangered creature

The status label is the rule. A specific species name, large size, high value, unusual color, or Drip variant does not qualify by itself. Community guides name Needlefish, Bowlfish, and Seahorse as possible examples, but those names are only search leads. Check the individual creature in your session. ^[01]

There is no separate endangered bait to buy. Use the normal Island 3 fishing loop: Standard Lure, catch, inspect, and repeat. If one species refuses to show the status, change casts or keep working through the regular pool instead of spending money on an unrelated boss lure. ^[01]

Complete the Tourist exchange safely

Speak to the Tourist before starting the search so the objective is active. When a catch shows the How to Fish endangered creature label, stop. Do not sell it for quick cash, cook it at the nearby grill, eat it while low on hunger, or feed it into another machine. ^[01]

Carry the whole creature to the Tourist and interact with the quest. The expected result is a Carrot. Put it in a safe inventory slot because it is the bait that summons Pufferfish, not food for routine healing. Why Drip and Endangered are different

Drip creatures belong to the rare-variant and cosmetic loop. They can be collected or spent at the Reel of Fortune. Endangered Species is a task-facing status used by the Tourist. One catch may look rarer than another without satisfying this quest, so treating every colorful fish as endangered wastes both money and collection progress. ^[01]

If the Tourist will not accept the catch

Work through the failure in this order: ^[01]

1. Talk to the Tourist and confirm the current objective asks for an endangered creature.
2. Inspect the catch again and look for the exact Endangered Species wording.
3. Make sure the creature is still whole and has not been cooked, eaten, sold, or converted into another item.
4. Confirm you are speaking to the Tourist, not the grill-side quest giver.
5. In co-op, let the host verify the objective and attempt the hand-in if the client cannot advance it. ^{[01] [02]}

Do not farm a named species indefinitely just because one guide used it. If the label is absent, that individual catch is not proven to satisfy the task. ^[01]

Use the Carrot on Pufferfish

Prepare before equipping the reward: cooked healing food, ammunition, and a controllable ranged weapon. Select the Carrot as bait, cast near the island, and use trees or other solid terrain to interrupt the boss's rolling approach.
